Registration of a company as an employer
and employee registration in the Czech Republic
According to the law, employer status is not acquired automatically after the official registration of an S.R.O. or OSVČ in the Commercial Register. A business obtains this status only when it hires and officially registers its first employee. After registering the business entity as an employer, each individual employee must also be registered.
TaxPro Group offers assistance in dealing with government authorities that require strict compliance with established procedures. In particular, it is critically important to meet the eight-day deadline for registering both as an employer and for each new employee from the start date of employment.

We are proud that clients stay with us for years. From reports to transactions – we deliver results and build trust through action.
Years of experience of TaxPro Group specialists show that most employers consider it best to use the services of accounting or legal firms that specialize in HR administration in the Czech Republic, in order to successfully complete all procedures and avoid fines.
A business entity must register with the Tax Office (Finanční úřad) for payroll tax within eight days after hiring its first employee. It must also register as an employer with the relevant branch of the Czech Social Security Administration (ČSSZ – Česká správa sociálního zabezpečení) immediately after hiring the first employee. At the same time, registration is carried out with one of the state health insurance companies in the Czech Republic, along with obtaining mandatory risk insurance (Mandatory Risk Insurance) against occupational injuries and diseases.
Additional time and effort are also required for registering each individual employee: verifying the right to work, signing the employment contract, arranging social and health insurance, and notifying the Labor Office (Úřad práce).
