Registration with customs authorities (EORI)
The EORI number (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) is an identifier assigned by the customs authorities of the EU member state where a business entity first carried out a customs operation or completed the relevant registration. It is mandatory for all companies and individual entrepreneurs engaged in importing, exporting, or transiting goods through the territory of the European Union.
TaxPro Group assists Czech residents, EU citizens, and foreign companies in registering with the customs authorities for an EORI number, as customs operations at EU borders are not possible without it.

If a company (S.R.O. or OSVČ) is already registered in the Czech Republic, it obtains its EORI number from the Customs Administration of the Czech Republic (Celní správa České republiky).
If a business entity is not registered within the EU, it obtains an EORI number in the EU member state through which its first customs operation takes place. According to TaxPro Group’s experience, registering in advance—before the customs operation—simplifies transit and reporting procedures, especially for those who are not EU residents. To avoid delays or other issues, we recommend obtaining the EORI number in advance, at least one week before the goods cross the EU border.
An EORI number in the Czech Republic can be obtained by personally visiting a relevant department of the Customs Administration, through an online form on the Customs Administration’s website (if you already have an electronic signature), or by using the services of TaxPro Group specialists, who can handle the entire process on your behalf under a power of attorney.
Obtaining an EORI number in the Czech Republic usually takes from one to several business days if all documents are in order. The EORI number is valid indefinitely, and each individual or company can have only one valid EORI number.
